South Dakota’s Deadwood casinos generated $16.7 million in revenue for July, up 4.7% year over year.
The South Dakota Department of Revenue figures show that slots accounted for the most of the revenue, generating $15.1 million, up 4.9%, while table games produced $1.4 million, remaining stable compared to the previous year.
Among slot games, one-cent slots recorded the highest revenue for the month, posting $13.1 million, up 6.8%. Other major generators among slot types included $1 slots ($785,647), City slots ($700,348), and 25-cent slots ($285,113).
For table games, blackjack reported the highest revenue for the month, recording $697,379, up 17.2%. Other big generators included house-banked poker ($429,914) and craps ($170,614).
Out of all game types, 10-cent slots recorded the biggest year-over-year revenue increase, up 257.9%, followed by five-cent slots with a 17.6% increase. $25 slots reported the biggest revenue decline last month, falling 61%. Other big revenue drops came from $5 slots, down 42.9%, and roulette, which declined 29.5%.
