South Dakota’s Deadwood casinos generated $13.3 million in revenue for May, up 1.7% year-over-year.
The South Dakota Department of Revenue figures show that slots accounted for the most of the combined figure with $11.9 million, up 2.3%. Table games generated $1.4 million, down 4.3%. Retail sports betting recorded $15,408.
One-cent slots reported the biggest monthly revenue among slot games, posting $10.3 million, a 5.2% increase. This was followed by $1 slots, which recorded $651,953, down 5.9%, and City Slot, which recorded $441,063, an 18.3% decline.
Of table games, blackjack posted the highest revenue for May, generating $604,637, up 8.8%. Other big generators were house-banked poker, down 3.5% to $500,309, and craps, down 1.8% to $126,244.
Among all game types, 10-cent slots recorded the highest year-over-year revenue increase with 34.5%. Player-banked poker had the largest decline, down 48.9%, followed by $25 slots, down 33.7%, and $5 slots, down 32.8%.
