Illinois casinos generated $178.2 million in revenue for September, up 12.7% year over year.
The Illinois Gaming Board figures show that slots accounted for most of the combined total, generating $134.6 million, up 12.4%, while table games produced $43.6 million, up 13.8%.
Rivers Casino reported the highest revenue for the month, recording $44.1 million, up 7.6%. Other big generators include Wind Creek ($19.9 million), Hollywood Casino Aurora ($14.3 million), Hard Rock Casino Rockford ($12.4 million), Grand Victoria ($12.4 million), Hollywood Casino Joliet ($11.7 million), Bally’s Chicago ($11.3 million), and Full House Resorts ($10.8 million).
Among the state’s 17 casinos, 14 reported year-over-year revenue increases. Hollywood Casino Aurora, which moved to a land-based facility in June, posted the largest increase, up 81.1%. Other notable increases came from Fairmount Park, up 61%; Golden Nugget Danville, up 31.2%; Wind Creek, up 24.9%; Full House Resorts, up 14.1%; Grand Victoria, up 13.2%; Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino, up 12.2%; and Harrah’s Joliet, up 11.1%.
Only three casinos posted revenue declines last month. DraftKings at Casino Queen fell 8% to $6 million, followed by Harrah’s Metropolis, down 3.5% to $4.2 million, and Walkers Bluff, down 2.5% to $2.7 million.
