Illinois casinos generated $173.6 million in June, up 9.1% year-over-year.
The Illinois Gaming Board figures show that slots accounted for $132.4 million of the combined figure, up 8.8%, while table games generated $41.2 million, up 10%.
Rivers Casino posted the highest revenue for the month with $44 million, up 9.2%. Other double-digit revenues came from Wind Creek ($20.5 million), Hard Rock Casino Rockford ($12.9 million), Grand Victoria ($12.6 million), Hollywood Casino Joliet ($12 million), Bally’s Chicago ($11.6 million), and Full House Resorts ($10.9 million).
Hollywood Casino Joliet, which opened a land-based venue in August, had the largest increase at 75.2%, followed by Fairmount Park, which expanded its offerings in the past year, at 70.4%. Harrah’s Metropolis posted the biggest decline, dropping 13.9% to $3.9 million. Other big declines came from Hollywood Casino Aurora, down 13.1%, and Argosy Casino Alton, down 11%.
