The political action committee that was formed to promote the siting of a casino in Steuben County has seen a shift in its membership.

Kevin Stoy has stepped away from being active with the group and has been replaced by retired education administrator Elten Powers, Pleasant Lake, who is active in Democratic Party politics.

Powers joins local businessmen Chuck Nedele, chair, and Mike Votaw on the Steuben Where Fun Wins Political Action Committee (SWFW PAC).

“I’m pleased to be part of an organization working to promote a once-in-a-lifetime economic opportunity for Steuben County. Our goal is simple: to encourage a YES vote on Public Question No. 3 by providing our community with clear, factual and reliable information so voters can make an informed decision,” Powers said in an email.
