The Steuben County Board of Commissioners approved unanimously a resolution to place a referendum on a casino locating in Steuben County on the Nov. 3 ballot.
It is one of the necessary steps in order for Steuben County to be in the running for landing a casino development as stipulated in legislation that passed this winter by the Legislature.
“This seeking the voters’ input,” Commissioner Rick Shipe said shortly before making the motion to approve the resolution.

“This is but one of the steps that’s required, placing it on the ballot,” said Wil Howard, president of the Board of Commissioners.
