Evoke’s B2B poker deal with Caesars in Pennsylvania is proving an unlikely stumbling block for Bally’s acquisition of the business.
Bally’s Intralot’s £243.1m [$323.9m] acquisition of evoke must be approved by regulators in jurisdictions across the world, including in the Keystone State – where its US parent Bally’s Corporation has digital operations.
While evoke has very limited presence in the US following its $50m agreement to terminate its Sports Illustrated partnership in 2024 and exit from US consumer-facing operations, the business still has active B2B deals.
One of these deals allows evoke’s 888 Atlantic subsidiary to provide technology, player account management and customer support services to Caesars’ Pennsylvania World Series of Poker (WSOP) online offering through an interactive gaming manufacturer license.
