Mississippi’s casinos posted August revenues of $201.4 million, down 6.5% year-over-year.
According to a report published by the Mississippi Gaming Commission, slot revenues were $167.6 million, down 5.4%, while table game revenues were down 7.9%, to $28.5 million. The largest proportionate drop for the period was shown in retail sports betting revenues, down 44.7% to $2.1 million.
Mississippi’s Coastal Region casinos generated the highest revenue in August, posting $135.6 million, down 4.6%. Slots revenue dropped 2.4% to $113.1 million, while table game revenue of $20.4 million was down 11.3%.
The Northern Region recorded August revenues of $40.9 million, down 11.2%. Slots were down 12.8% to $32.9 million, and table game revenues increased by 2.3% to $6 million.
The Central Region reported $24.7 million in August, down 8.6%. Slots revenues dropped 8.6% to $21.5 million, while table game revenue was up 1.7% to $2 million.
