Florida’s eight non-tribal casinos generated $54 million in slots revenue for August, down 10.2% year over year.
The Florida Gaming Control Commission figures show that of the state’s eight casinos, only one recorded a year-over-year revenue increase. Big Easy Casino posted revenue of $3.13 million, up 1.2%.
Magic City Casino reported the highest revenue for August, generating $11.8 million, down 10.3%.
Other big year-over-year revenue declines included Casino Miami, down 14.7% to $6.3 million; Calder Casino, down 12.5% to $6.7 million; Hialeah Park Casino, down 11.2% to $ 7.6 million; and Casino at Dania, down 10.8% to $4.2 million.
Smaller revenue drops came from Harrah’s Pompano Beach, down 8.3% to $9.7 million, and Gulfstream Park Racing & Casino, down 8.2% to $4.6 million.
