Florida’s non-tribal casinos recorded $53.8 million in slots revenue for June, down 3.4% year-over-year.
The Florida Gaming Control Commission figures show that of the state’s eight casinos, only two recorded year-over-year revenue increases. Big Easy Casino reported the highest increase, up 12.4% to $2.9 million. Harrah’s Pompano Beach had the second-highest rise, up 7.8% to $10.3 million.
Calder Casino recorded the highest year-over-year revenue decrease, falling 13.7% to $6.5 million. The only other casino to record a double-digit revenue drop was Casino at Dania, declining 10.6% to $3.9 million.
Other declines came from Casino Miami, down 8% to $6.7 million; Hialeah Park Casino, down 6.7% to $7.6 million; Gulfstream Park Racing & Casino, down 3.2% to $4.5 million; and Magic City Casino, which posted the highest revenue for the month at $11.5 million, a 1.7% decrease.
