Caesars Virginia announced on Thursday it will host the first World Series of Poker Circuit stop in the state. Scheduled for September 3 -14, the series will bring players from across the region and beyond to Danville to compete in 18 official WSOP Circuit Ring events for more than $1.5 million in guaranteed prize pools.

The WSOP event will be at the Pantheon at Caesars Virginia, a milestone for the resort and the Commonwealth, adding Virginia to the roster of destinations on the WSOP Circuit schedule.

“We’re excited to welcome poker players and fans from across the country for this landmark event,” Caesars Virginia Senior Vice President and General Manager of Chris Albrecht said in a statement. “As the first WSOP Circuit event ever held in Virginia, this tournament is another testament to our property’s commitment to providing our guests with world-class gaming, entertainment and hospitality.”

The event culminates with the WSOP Circuit Main Event, September 10-14, featuring a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool and a $1,700 buy-in.

In addition to championship ring events, players can enjoy daily side tournaments, cash games, and multiple satellite opportunities throughout the series.

Players planning to participate are encouraged to register in advance through WSOP LIVE, the exclusive registration platform for the WSOP Circuit tournament at Caesars Virginia. Tournament registration will only be available through the WSOP LIVE app, which provides real-time tournament information, seating assignments, chip counts, prize pool updates, and player notifications.

Players must be 21 or older to participate.
