For Gopi Perikh, the row of flashing, blinking skills game machines at her 7-Eleven job in Levittown might not seem like something that prevents robberies, but she’s pretty sure it does.

“When you’re here alone and there’s someone over there playing the machines, you feel safe — especially at night,” she said. “It just makes you feel like you are less likely to be robbed.”

That unconventional security system may soon be gone, thanks in part to the judges on the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
