Voters in Allen, DeKalb and Steuben counties will decide in November whether to allow inland casino gambling in their county, and organized campaigns on both sides are already underway.
The ballot question is straightforward: Should inland casino gambling be permitted in your county?
If a county’s voters approve the measure, that county takes a step forward to becoming eligible to host a new casino, but the state would only be able to approve one.
In Allen County, a political action committee called Advance Fort Wayne Allen County has launched a website, Yes for Allen. The group describes itself as a bipartisan coalition of business, community and union leaders.
