Jon Schiller was this close to getting a so-called real job. He’d started applying for some earlier this year.

He now has tossed those plans in the muck, like 10-2 off-suit, after the fantasy-sports and poker professional from Saline scored the biggest payday of his gambling career.

Last week, Schiller went to Reno to compete in a bowling tournament — and he came home the winner of a lucky $1 million payout following a side trip to play in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Schiller pulled a $1 million bounty envelope Sunday after he had been eliminated from the $1,000 buy-in Mystery Millions Texas Hold’em tournament.
