The man who brought some of the biggest names in entertainment to Atlantic City — and drove a recovered stolen guitar halfway across the country to return it to Nancy Wilson of Heart — is taking his talents to Vegas.

Mike Woodside, who has had a long career with Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City and Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, is heading west this fall to help Hard Rock open its new Las Vegas casino as senior vice president of entertainment and event marketing.

If you’ve seen Kiss breathe fire and blow things up, watched Rod Stewart run his fingers through his hair, or seen Guns ‘N’ Roses make it to the stage on time at Hard Rock’s Etess Arena, Woodside had a lot to do with that.
