Steuben County officials hosted a public forum regarding a potential casino in the area to clear up any misconceptions and answer residents’ questions about jobs, infrastructure, zoning, and tourism.
The meeting was organized to provide residents with information ahead of a vote appearing on November’s midterm ballot, explained June Julien, Executive Director of the Steuben County Tourism Bureau, before the meeting occurred.
“Our goal is we’d like to be transparent and let people know what has been going on with the casino and to clear up any misinformation that might be out there that people want to know before they vote on November 3,” she said.
