Encore workers picketed past their 50th day on strike Saturday, joined by union members from across the country and a crowd of supporters outside the resort and casino in Everett.
Over 1,300 workers at Encore Boston Harbor with the unions Teamsters Local 25 and UNITE HERE Local 26 took to the picket lines on Sept. 4 after months of failed contract negotiations with Wynn Resorts. Their contract expire Aug. 31.
The hotel and casino has remained open and operational during the strike, with union workers encouraging the public to not “book a room, play, or dine at Encore” during the work stoppage.
