A labor dispute between the Encore Boston Harbor casino and more than 1,300 employees remains unresolved after nearly three weeks as the staff members continue to hold out for improvements to their wages, healthcare and job security.
The strike launched on Sept. 4 amid a breakdown in negotiations between members of the Teamsters Local 25 and UNITE HERE Local 26 unions and the Everett casino operated by Wynn Resorts.
The Teamsters said they represent 211 Encore employees, including limo drivers, traffic attendants, valets, cage cashiers, guest experience attendants and warehouse, horticulture and call center staff.
The UNITE HERE union said the striking workers also include housekeepers, cooks, servers, bartenders and slot attendants.
