The Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) has moved to contain a serious data breach affecting its online gambling licensing portal.

In a press release issued on Monday, the CGA said it planned to launch a temporary replacement of the system on Tuesday in response to the breach.

The breach was discovered on 17 September when CGA investigators determined that a security researcher from Germany had gained unauthorized access to the authority’s licensing portal and its database.

According to the CGA, the intruder had accessed and published personal and confidential information belonging to license holders. The unauthorized access is said to have occurred between December 2025 and September 2026.
