Developer Bart Blatstein has another new project in Atlantic City: a temporary events center that could hold 2,000 people in a parking lot of the Showboat Hotel Atlantic City during the resort’s offseason months.
The owner of the hotel, an arcade, water park and outdoor recreation space has applied to the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority for permission to build his latest attraction, designed to utilize a mostly vacant parking lot facing onto Atlantic Avenue.
The idea is to erect temporary buildings on aluminum frames with vinyl membrane coverings that could house a wide array of entertainment, sports and dining events during Atlantic City’s slow winter and spring months.
