South Dakota: Deadwood casinos statistical win rises 5% year-over-year in July

Deadwood’s commercial casinos generated $15.9 million in statistical win during July, a 5% increase from the $15.1 million reported in the same month last year.

The South Dakota Commission on Gaming’s monthly report detailed wins across slots, table games, and sports wagering for the state’s licensed establishments.

Statistical win from slots climbed to $14.4 million, up 6% from the $13.6 million generated in July 2024. One-cent denomination machines were the most significant contributor, producing $12.2 million of the total slot win, and dollar slots generated the second highest amount of $891,216.

Table games also saw a slight uptick in activity. The statistical win from games like blackjack and roulette reached $1.44 million, a modest increase from the $1.41 million recorded a year prior.

The sports betting sector experienced a decline, with the statistical win falling by 17.4% year-over-year to $63,967, from $77,421. MLB was the primary driver for the sportsbook’s statistical win, which generated $32,673.
