Deadwood’s 22 casinos generated $12 million in revenue for December, up 6.% from the previous year.
According to the latest report from the South Dakota Commission on Gaming, which reports revenue by game type rather than by casino, table games and slots revenue rose year-over-year. Slots revenue increased 4.4% to $10.5 million, while table games revenue saw an 8% rise to $1.4 million. Retail sports betting generated $125,591 in revenue.
The slot type with the most significant year-over-year revenue increase was $5 slots, which rose 113.5% to $176,610. Only two other slot types saw revenue increases, including $1 slots, up 3.8%, and 1-cent slots, up 5.6%.
Five slot types experienced double-digit revenue losses, with 10-cent slots recording the most significant decline of 91.2% to $1,438. Additional slot types to see revenue decline included 50-cent slots, which fell 51.6% to $13,306, and 5-cent slots, which fell 50.3% to $31,166.
Of the table games, house-banked poker had the greatest revenue for the month, up 21.5% to $608,450. Craps had the biggest year-over-year revenue increase, rising 23% to $151,815.
Two table game types saw revenue decline by double digits, including roulette, which fell 22.8% to $38,270, and player-banked poker, which fell 12.7% to $78,216. Blackjack fell 2.6% to $476,195.
