Maine’s two casinos generated $16 million in revenue last month, up 3.6% year over year.
The Maine Gambling Control Unit figures show that slots accounted for most of the combined figure, generating $14.3 million, up 6.8%, while table games generated $1.7 million, down 17.8%.
Both casinos posted year-over-year revenue increases in August. Hollywood Casino recorded the highest rise, up 7.5% to $6.6 million. Slots were up 8.2% to $5.6 million, and table games declined 3.4% to $983,999.
Oxford Casino reported the biggest revenue for the month, with a 1% increase to $9.4 million. Slots increased 5.9% to $8.7 million, and table games dropped 36.5% to $681,941.
