Louisiana gaming revenue reaches $212 million in July

Louisiana casinos generated revenue of $212.5 million in July, up 7% year-over-year, while revenue from sports betting was $36 million from a handle of $280 million, up 10%, the Louisiana Gaming Control Board reported on Thursday.

The Lake Charles district again led in revenue with $76.8 million, up 5.9%. L’Auberge Du Lac posted $28.6 million, up 17.1%. Golden Nugget Lake Charles collected $26.9 million, down 0.4%. Delta Downs brought in $14.2 million, up 1.2%.

Shreveport/Bossier City operators reported revenue of $50.2 million, up 2.5%. Margaritaville Resort Casino was the leading revenue generator, posting $12.9 million, up 17.5%. Horseshoe Shreveport generated $11 million, down 18.9%.  Live! Casino posted $10.9 million, up 15.7%.

New Orleans district properties reported revenue of $54 million, up 11.2%. Caesars New Orleans brought in $25.9 million, up 21.7%. Treasure Chest generated $14.2 million, up 6.9%. Boomtown Casino & Hotel reported $7.8 million, down 5.2%.

The Baton Rouge district’s $24.6 million was up 11%. L’Auberge Baton Rouge posted $12.7 million, down 4.2%. The Queen of Baton Rouge generated $6.7 million, down 16.9%. Bally’s Baton Rouge, which moved on to land and rebranded this past year, reached revenue of $5.2 million, up 549.1% increase.

Evangeline Downs generated $6.8 million, up 7.9%.
