Iowa casinos recorded $138.6 million in revenue for June, up 1.2% year-over-year.
The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission figures show that slots accounted for $126.2 million of the combined figure, up 1.7%, while table games generated $12.4 million, down 3.3%.
Prairie Meadows led the state’s 19 casinos with $19.7 million in revenue, up 2.4%. Other double-digit revenue earners included Ameristar II ($13 million) and Horseshoe Casino Council Bluffs ($12.8 million).
Diamond Joe Dubuque reported the biggest year-over-year revenue increase, posting a 91.6% rise from $3.5 million to $6.7 million. Other big revenue increases came from Bally’s Marquette, up 48.9% to $2.5 million, and Diamond Jo Worth, up 47.2% to $9.1 million.
Great River Casino produced a 55.2% year-over-year revenue decline to $3.3 million. Grand Falls Casino Resort and Horseshoe Council Bluffs also posted revenue declines, down 18.5% and 8.4%, respectively.
