The Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM), the American Gaming Association and JCM Global presented a $185,000 check to the International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG) at Global Gaming Expo (G2E) on Tuesday.
The money was raised at the 27th annual AGEM & AGA Golf Classic presented by JCM Global, held May 6 at SouthShore Country Club in Henderson, Nevada. That’s up from $180,000 at last year’s tournament, and it brings the event’s total for the ICRG to $3.2 million since it began in 1999.
The ICRG funds independent, peer-reviewed research on gambling disorder and responsible gambling practices. It held its 27th annual Conference on Gambling and Addiction at the Venetian Expo on September 27-28, just ahead of G2E.
On hand for the presentation were AGEM President and CEO Daron Dorsey, AGA Senior Vice President of Membership and Events Maureen Beddis, ICRG President Michael Soll, ICRG Director of Corporate Partnerships Joshua Belkin, ICRG Director of Research and Education Travis Sztainert, ICRG board member Art Paikowsky and JCM Senior Vice President Dave Kubajak.
