Bally’s Corporation, a popular nationwide gambling company, is coming to Cheyenne. Besides the company’s Thunder Plains horse racing track and facility making continuous progress and approaching opening races sometime next year, the company will soon open an off-track betting facility in north Cheyenne.
The Cheyenne City Council voted Monday night to grant a simulcasting permit and special use permit to Bally’s Corporation, allowing it to operate a gaming center at 1734 Meadowland Drive. That location was once an Old Chicago.
Facilities like the prospective Bally’s mostly offer off-track betting and historic horse racing machines. While Laramie County will soon get its own track, the off-track betting opportunities offered at gaming centers allow gamblers to wager on races everywhere.
