Vicky Foxcroft will make a first public appearance in her new capacity as gambling minister at a fringe event during the Labour Party Annual Conference.
It could well be a consequential debate as Foxcroft is speaking in Liverpool on a panel entitled: What Next for Gambling Reform: Time for a New Act?
She will be joined by fellow MPs and members of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Gambling Reform Alex Ballinger and Dawn Butler, the former of whom was the first MP to publicly call for a new gambling act back in June.
Ballinger made this recommendation at a Social Market Foundation (SMF) policy proposal event, and it will be Dr James Noyes, a Senior Fellow from that same think tank, who will be chairing this conversation.
