A San Antonio man charged in a shooting that killed two people at Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino in Eagle Pass is scheduled to go to trial next year.
Keryan Rashad Jones, 35, faces charges of murder, capital murder of multiple persons and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His trial is scheduled to begin Feb. 8, 2027, Maverick County court records show.
Jones was arrested in late September 2025 in connection with the shooting, which also injured other people. The two people killed were Alicia “Daniela” Sanchez, a mother of five, and Marcus Antley, a former Border Patrol agent.
In May, 293rd District Court Judge Maribel Flores said a psychological evaluation found Jones competent to stand trial.
