The MGM Northfield Park Racino is closing for a few days later this month as it switches ownership. The northern Summit County racino was sold in October for some $546 million.

MGM announced on social media April 15 that the racino will close Monday, April 20, and reopen Wednesday, April 22. “New website and information about the property’s new rewards program will be provided soon,” MGM announced.

The deal, announced Oct. 16, will switch ownership of the gambling operations along with entertainment offerings and the race track to a private equity fund managed by Clairvest Group Inc. The new operator has a 25-year lease on the racino and horse race track with VICI Properties.
