New York: Jake’s 58 casino on Long Island closed for 2nd day after ‘service interruption’

Jake’s 58 remained closed Wednesday after a statewide “service interruption” took place, shutting down its gambling machines, the casino said.

The casino was also closed Tuesday and was unsure when it would reopen, officials said.

“Other casinos have already reopened and we have been assured that Jake’s 58 will be next,” said Phil Boyle, president and CEO for Suffolk OTB. “We expect to reopen soon and will let you all know as soon as we do.”

Brad Maione, a spokesman for the State Gaming Commission, said the commission’s video lottery gaming central system operator, Everi, “experienced a service interruption that impacted some gaming operations across the state.”
