New York could become the first US state to require sportsbooks to send players monthly betting statements, after both chambers of the state Legislature approved bill A10329.
The New York Senate unanimously passed the measure after the Assembly had already signed off on it, sending the bill to Gov. Kathy Hochul for review.
If she signs it, the new requirement would take effect on Jan. 1.
Under the bill, regulated sportsbooks would have to provide customers with a monthly summary of their betting activity.
