One year after purchasing the Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino, the new owners are all in on bringing the property into the 21st century.
Grant Lincoln, the Montana-based CEO of Strategic Gaming Management, LLC, acquired the Sunland Park, N.M., gaming and entertainment complex from the Fulton family last year. He was recently in El Paso as progress on a casino refresh ramps up.
Lincoln said the potential of the Sunland Park Casino and the love of the area made the acquisition a good fit. “We’re from Montana, and have a lot of friends who are cowboys, where a handshake means something.”
