It’s been a month since the new Caesars Virginia Casino opened its temporary facility in Danville, and the River City is already cashing out in a big way.
According to the Virginia Lottery report, all three Virginia casinos combined made $45.5 million in gaming revenue, and $8.2 million in taxes were paid to the Gaming Proceeds Fund in May. Of that Caesars Virginia made over $11 million in revenue, in just two weeks.
City Officials say this confirms that the City Council made a great choice in choosing Ceasars to be the operator… The Virginia Lottery Board approved the casino license for the casino in April 2023 and it opened on May 15.
