Shares of several major gaming companies remain near their lowest levels of the past year, with Las Vegas-focused operators and online betting companies facing steep declines despite mixed results in Monday’s trading.
MGM Resorts International fell 2.3 percent Monday to close at $27.95, setting a new 52-week low of $27.94 during the session. The shares are down about 46 percent from their 52-week high of $51.59, reached in June.
Caesars Entertainment has fared better than several major competitors this year. The company’s shareholders approved Tilman Fertitta’s $17.6 billion acquisition of the casino operator in September. The all-cash deal values Caesars shares at $31 each and would take the company private, subject to regulatory approval and other closing conditions.
