A major court ruling in the proposed State College casino project looks to expedite a lot of the legal issues that have been raised since a license was approved for the casino.

Last week, in what’s termed an extraordinary move, the state Supreme Court basically consolidated the outstanding, casino-related issues into one case that will be argued before the court.

Later this week, a series of arguments were scheduled for a commonwealth court hearing but now, they’ve all been cancelled.

Earlier this year, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board approved a license for a mini casino to be located at the former Macy’s site, in the Nittany Mall.
