A confidential settlement hearing involving a California man who says he was drugged while playing blackjack at the MGM Mansion in 2021 was conducted Monday in U.S. District Court in Nevada, but parties aren’t disclosing whether a settlement was reached.

The hearing, conducted before U.S. Magistrate Judge Elayna Youchah, was closed to the public.

Dwight Manley, 60, a real estate executive and sports agent from Brea, California, who has high-roller status with MGM Resorts International, sued the company after he says he was drugged with ketamine, a dissociative anesthesia drug that can cause sedation, reduced sensation of pain, short-term memory loss, incapacitation and hallucinations, and is a substance used by veterinarians to sedate animals.
