A Florida man who says he believes he contracted Legionnaires’ disease while staying at Wynn Las Vegas this year is suing, alleging the Strip resort failed to take measures to protect guests from exposure to the potentially deadly bacteria.

The lawsuit, filed by Ruben Feliciano in Clark County District Court on Aug. 25, seeks more than $30,000 in damages, including compensation for alleged medical treatment and permanent injuries.

The lawsuit alleges that Feliciano began feeling ill while staying at Wynn Las Vegas in January. It also alleges that shortly after Feliciano returned home to Florida, he “became so ill” that he had to be hospitalized from Jan. 22 to Jan. 25.
