Indiana gamblers wagered $5.77 billion on sports during fiscal 2026, while organizations running charity games reported their highest gross income in at least a decade. Meanwhile, the state’s casinos won slightly less from gamblers than the previous year.
The Indiana Gaming Commission’s annual report shows where gambling activity is growing as Indiana considers a new casino in the northeastern part of the state.
Casino win — gross gaming revenue — totaled $2.44 billion in the fiscal year that ended June 30, down 0.85% from fiscal 2025. Sports wagering taxes rose 11.64% to $54.9 million. Together with two casino taxes, gaming generated $685.4 million in tax revenue.
The small statewide decline masks a sharper drop in Northern Indiana, where casino win fell 4.22% to $942 million.
