One Wall Street analyst touted Las Vegas Strip year-to-date gaming revenue running 4.2% ahead of 2025’s pace.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board Monday released a breakdown for each jurisdiction in the state. Total gaming revenue is up 3.6% for the year after a $96 million increase in May.
The Strip’s games win of $397.1 million increased 19.4% or $64.6 million and drop totaled $2.4 billion and increased 12.5% or $268.2 million. Games hold percentage was 16.4% versus 15.5% last year, according to Shelley Newell, senior economic analyst for the Gaming Control Board.
Baccarat win on the Strip totaled $174.3 million and was up $64.4 million or 58.6%. Volume totaled $886.7 million and is up 29.9% or $204.2 million. Hold was 19.7% versus 16.1%.
The Strip’s slot win totaled $410.8 million and increased 7.8% or $30 million, and coin-in of $5.6 billion was up $508.1 million or 9.9%. Slot win percentage was 7.3% versus 7.4% last year, Newell said.
Barry Jonas of Truist Securities said with a third consecutive strong gaming month and May visitation increasing by 2%, the “sentiment feels much better on the Strip post our investor meetings and nearing second-quarter earnings.”
Jonas was optimistic about June, with an index showing revenue per available room up 7% year-over-year, with average daily rates up 6%.
As for casinos that serve Las Vegas residents, Jonas saw a 2% decline in gaming revenue in May, as operators continue to mitigate against construction impacts and fatigue.
In downtown Las Vegas, total win of $63.9 million decreased 4.2% ($2.8 million). For the year, total win is up 1.8%. Slot win totaled $43 million and increased 6.5% ($2.6 million). Slot coin-in was down 14.8% ($94 million). Slot win percentage was 7.9% versus 6.4% last year. Game and table win totaled $20.9 million, down 20.5% ($5.4 million). Games drop decreased 5% or $11.5 million on a hold of 9.6% versus 11.5% last year, Newell said.
In North Las Vegas, total win of $26.8 million increased 2.0% ($515,000). For the year, total win is up 2.8%. Slot win totaled $24.3 million and increased 2.1% or $508,000. Volumes were down 0.4% or $1.3 million, while hold was 7.6% versus 7.4%, Newell said.
The Boulder Strip’s total win of $80.5 million was up 3.5% ($2.7 million). For the year, total win is up 2.9%. Slot win was up 5.9% ($4 million). Slot coin-in was up 1.1% ($13.2 million) while slot hold was 5.8% versus 5.5%. Game and table win totaled $8.8 million, down 12.4% ($1.2 million). Games volume up 5.5% ($3.2 million) while hold was 14.1% versus 17%, Newell said.
In the balance of Clark County, total win of $164.4 million was down 5.6% ($9.8 million). For the year, total win is up 0.2%. Game and table win totaled $31.3 million, down 31.3% ($14.2 million). Games volume was down 7.4% ($19.2 million), while hold was 13% versus 17.5%. Slot win totaled $133 million and was up 3.5% or $4.4 million. Volumes were down 0.4% or $8.5 million, while hold was 6.4% versus 6.1%, Newell said.
In Mesquite, total win of $18.3 million was up 2.3% ($417,000). For the year, total win is up 4.9%. Slot win was up 3.4% ($536,000). Slot coin-in was up 4.6% ($10.3 million), while the hold 6.9% versus 7.0.
In Laughlin, total win of $41 million was down 5.2% ($2.2 million). For the year, total win is down 0.01%. Slot win was down 6% ($2.4 million). Slot coin-in was up 0.9% ($4.3 million), while the hold was 7.8% versus 8.4%.
Washoe County’s total win of $98.2 million increased 8.3% ($7.5 million). For the year, total win is up 7.9%. Slot win increased 10.6% ($8 million). Slot coin-in totaled $1.5 billion and was up 2.3% ($34.5 million) versus May 2025. Hold was 5.5% versus 5.1% last year. Game and table win totaled $14.6 million, down 3.1% ($468,000). Games volume was down 2.5% ($2.3 million), while the hold was 16.6% versus 16.7%.
Washoe County sportsbooks were down 32.5%. Volumes were down 16.4% or $4.5 million on a hold percentage of 10% versus 12.3% last year. Reno’s total win of $70.5 million increased 11.7% ($7 million). For the year, total win is up 8.2%. Slot win was up 13% or $6.6 million. Volumes were up 0.9% ($9.3 million), while hold was 5.4% versus 4.8% last year.
Sparks’ total win totaled $17.3 million and increased 0.7% ($117,000). For the year, total win is up 9.1%. Slot win totaled $16.3 million and increased 4.7% ($743,000). Coin-in increased 6.5% ($18.4 million). Hold was 5.4% versus 5.5% last year.
Total win in the Carson Valley of $12.5 million decreased 2.0% ($250,000). For the year, total win is up 3.4%. Slot win was down 2.1% ($252,000). Slot coin-in was up 0.5% ($926,000). Slot hold percentage was 6.3% versus 6.4%.
South Lake Tahoe’s total win of $16.7 million increased 23.5% ($3.2 million). For the year, total win is 12.2%. Slot win increased 29.5% ($3.1 million), while volume was up 21.4% ($40.3 million). Hold was 6% versus 5.6%.
Elko’s total win of $37.6 million increased 4.5% ($1.6 million). For the year, total win is up 4%. Slot win increased 4.5% ($1.4 million). Slot coin-in increased 5.5% ($29.1 million). Slot hold was 5.8% versus 5.9%.
Nevada sportsbooks won $38.7 million, down 17.2% or $8 million compared to May 2025 on a hold percentage of 7.1% versus 8.1% last year. Sportsbook wagers totaled $545.7 million, down 5.4% or $31.1 million compared to last May when $576.8 million was wagered statewide. Mobile wagers totaled $409.8 million, down 3.1% or $13 million, and accounted for 75.1% of all wagers.
For the Las Vegas Strip in May, the total win of $807.9 million increased 13.2% ($94.1 million) versus May 2025.
