The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes are seeking continued support from Mountain Home city leaders as they move forward with a proposed resort casino development on 157 acres near exit 95.

Tribal leaders met on Tuesday with the mayor and City Council members to provide an update on the project’s status and to ask the city to keep backing the proposal.

Plans for the resort include a 2,000-machine casino, a 250-room hotel, six dining options, an event center, a movie theater and a bowling alley.

Tribal leaders said the proposal is in the final stages of an environmental assessment by the Department of the Interior, including a review of water and sewage concerns.
