George Norcross, the South Jersey political power broker, has bought the former Trump Plaza casino site on the Boardwalk.

The purchase was confirmed by a Norcross spokesman, along with Mayor Marty Small Sr., who proclaimed Wednesday “an extra-great day in the great City of Atlantic City.”

Neither the purchase price nor Norcross’ plans for the property was immediately made public.

The casino was formerly owned and operated by President Donald Trump in his pre-politics days as a real estate developer.

“I can confirm that George and his adult children, Lexie and Alex, have, with partners, purchased the former Trump Plaza property,” spokesman Daniel Fee said Wednesday. “The details about what the plans are will be announced at a later date.”
