Korea’s Lotte Tour Development reported casino sales of KRW11.4 billion (US$8.7 million) at its Jeju integrated resort, Jeju Dream Tower, in May, setting another monthly record since its June 2021 launch and representing a 14.7% improvement over April. It was also 182% higher than in May 2022, when casino sales were just KRW4.06 billion (US$3.1 million).
The improvement came despite hotel sales falling by 29.9% year-on-year to KRW7.68 billion (US$5.9 million), although this was 11.1% higher than in April.
Casino sales included KRW10.7 billion (US$8.2 million) from table games, up 17.7% month-on-month, and KRW733 million (US$562,000) from gaming machines, down 16.0%
