The relocation of Casino Nova Scotia to its new home in Dartmouth Crossing is underway.

The province has confirmed that the current waterfront property has been listed for sale while work continues on permits for the site.

In a statement, the Department of Finance and Treasury Board said Great Canadian Entertainment (GCE) has purchased land near the IKEA in Dartmouth Crossing for the future casino site, and it is working with the municipality on permits.

According to the department, the entertainment company will be responsible for the cost of construction and relocation costs, while the province will cover the gaming equipment expenses.
