Caesars Atlantic City is planning to open a beach bar, and City Council on Wednesday gave preliminary approval for the project.
The casino, which is owned by Caesars Entertainment, has not yet announced the project, and a spokesperson was unable to immediately provide details Wednesday night.
Council voted to approve amending a beach lease with Caesars governing what it can and cannot do on the sand that it leases.
“Caesars desires to expand the use of beach lot 25 to include a beach bar by exercising the option in paragraph 4 of the lease, and needs to amend the current lease to permit the building of structures, adjust the times of operation and the rent, with DCA approval, to be in line with the other beach bars,” the resolution approved by council states.
