Officers and Borgata security conducted a sweep of the building. Police did not find any suspicious individuals or devices in the building, the department said Thursday evening in a news release.

Out of an abundance of caution, portions of the building were evacuated. Patrons have since been allowed back into the building.

Police said in a Facebook post that there was no active shooter. Police were still investigating the validity of the threat.
