Associated Press casino reporter Wayne Parry has announced he will leave the company to begin working for The Press of Atlantic City.
Parry will cover Atlantic City casinos, casino gambling, sports betting and legislative news affecting Atlantic City and New Jersey.
Through his X account, Parry said, “Today was my last day at The Associated Press, having taken a buyout. On Monday, I begin work as a reporter at The Press of Atlantic City, covering Atlantic City casinos, gambling/sports betting, environment & and Statehouse news affecting AC & south Jersey.”
There is plenty of excitement for Parry to cover in Atlantic City and New Jersey as a whole. Recently, a new non-gaming hotel was announced to be breaking ground in Atlantic City in early 2025, featuring a Monopoly-inspired aesthetic. The three-story structure will include a top hat on the roof. Meanwhile, America’s oldest horse racing track held its final races as Freehold Raceway shut after 170 years of history.
