ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) – August was a crucial month for Atlantic City’s newest casino, as it sought to increase the amount of money it won from gamblers.
Casino revenue figures due to be released Monday afternoon by state regulators will show if Revel is starting to shake off its slow start, or whether the $2.4 billion resort remains stuck in low gear.
Revel’s revenues have trailed many of Atlantic City’s casinos since it opened in April, It has ranked 8th out of 12 casinos each month since then.
The casino recently secured additional financing that will give it some breathing room through next year.
