The American Gaming Association will host a first-ever G2E preview webinar Wednesday, September 14 designed to help both first-time and veteran attendees maximize their experience at the industry gathering and use the event to propel their companies and their careers.
The webinar, entitled “Conquering G2E 2016” and held in conjunction with the Innovation Group, will feature AGA CEO Geoff Freeman and several other leaders in the gaming space offering their perspective on how attendees can get the most out of the event.
The logic behind the program is that large trade shows, by their very nature, can be labyrinthine, overwhelming and difficult to navigate – particularly for first- and second-year attendees. With more than 80 breakout and keynote seminars on the docket over four days touching on nearly every topic imaginable, this year’s G2E will be no different.
Therefore, being intentional and having a game plan is critical to maximizing one’s experience. The presenters, which also include Peter Arceo of San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino, Corey T. Nyman of The Nyman Group and Dana Takrudtong of GAN, will offer their tips and perspective on how attendees can best tackle the event and leverage their G2E experiences to benefit their respective companies and careers.
Themes will include how to best manage one’s time and energy while maximizing networking opportunities, as well as a preview of key conference themes such as expo floor exhibits, key speakers and educational events.
The program will be modeled on the tactics employed by larger conferences and trade shows, such as SXSW in Austin, Texas, that have begun offering similar services designed to give attendees a leg up at mapping out their time.
The webinar is also part of a broader strategy to democratize and expand the attendee base by opening the event up to students interested in a career in the gaming industry and offering expanded group promotions for AGA member companies. Lending a hand to new attendees through programming such as this is a mechanism for ensuring they find their G2E experiences valuable and ultimately return.
The event is part of the Innovation Group’s Emerging Leaders of Gaming webinar series, which has covered hot topics such as e-Sports and millennial engagement while giving a platform to up-and-coming leaders within the industry to gain exposure.
