BetMGM, which was previously awarded a conditional sports betting license by Tennessee gaming authorities, announced a deal Monday to be the official sports betting partner of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans.
The deal, which includes visibility across the team’s various digital platforms and during key in-game moments, such as field goal attempts and video board replays, is the first partnership between a professional sports team from Tennessee and a sports betting operator.
The Sports Wagering Committee of the Tennessee Education Lottery Board of Directors conditionally approved BetMGM for a license last week to be among the first group of operators when online sports betting launches on Nov. 1. FanDuel and DraftKings were also approved.
Tennessee, which will become the 19th state with legal sports betting, will be a mobile-only wagering market.
BetMGM – a 50-50 joint venture partnership between MGM Resorts and GVC Holdings – will mark its seventh state for the company’s online sports betting presence. The Tennessee Titans became the fifth NFL team with BetMGM as an official sports betting partner, joining the New York Jets, Las Vegas Raiders, Denver Broncos, and Detroit Lions.
In addition to the logo visibility, BetMGM will become the exclusive naming rights partner of the Titans’ television studio at Saint Thomas Sports Park, which will be home to Titans All Access, the Coach Mike Vrabel Show, and additional content aired throughout Tennessee.
BetMGM also will sponsor a soon-to-be-announced Titans raffle benefiting The Titans Foundation, which directs funds to community organizations across the state.
“The Titans are an incredible organization, and we’re proud to have BetMGM as the team’s first official sports betting partner,” said BetMGM Chief Marketing Officer Matt Prevost. “This is truly a partnership between two great brands and we’re excited to introduce Titans fans to new ways to engage with their favorite football team.”
Gil Beverly, the Titans’ chief marketing officer, said, “BetMGM will deliver new experiences and levels of engagement to our fans and we’re excited to welcome them in as an official partner.”
